When my childhood friend asked me to do the flowers for his wedding I was beyond excited! There were lots and lots of flowers involved with this wedding. My team did great helping me put everything together. As you can see from the pictures, the couple's wedding color was purple, which is my favorite color! The bridal bouquet consisted of dark purple calla lilies with cymbidium orchids, the bridesmaids bouquets were ivory roses, white calla lilies and purple dendrobium orchids. The flower girls carried white carnation pomanders. For the reception the bride wanted a mix of tall and short centerpieces. The tall centerpieces were white carnation pomander balls on top of trumpet vases with hanging pearl strands. The shorter centerpieces were a mix of 3 different sized vases with purple irises, purple orchids, white hydrangeas, purple stock, white roses, white gerbera daisies and purple lisianthus.
Love. Inspire. Design.
Currently this blog is still a work in progress but feel free to look at my floral designs and past work. I love all things design: floral, interior, arts and crafts. I love planning memorable events from start to finish!

West Hollywood Wedding - London hotel
Glam! That was my first impression of this wedding venue! If you have never been to the London hotel in West Hollywood, you should definitely check it out. The hotel is beautiful. My favorite part was the outdoor garden terrace where they hold the wedding ceremonies. This was my first Jewish wedding. The bride wanted very simple flower arrangements. Here are some of the pictures.

Karissa's 1st "Candyland" birthday party
My god-daughter Karissa celebrated her 1st birthday party and of course I told her mom who is my very good friend that I would help plan her party. We decided to go with a "Candyland" themed party. She was on a tight budget so I knew I had to be creative. First for the favors, to cut down on cost I decided to make Oreo cookie pops, they were actually easy and you can find instructions on the web, this is the one I went with:

Then I made the favor tags and tied a pretty polka dotted pink ribbon. Everyone at the party loved them, even my husband thought they tasted just like the ones from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory which is a compliment!

I got this idea for a centerpiece from http://www.rachaelraymag.com/easy-party-ideas/party-decorating-ideas/centerpiece-slideshows/birthday-parties-centerpieces/1
but I added a few changes.

I found this local baker called For the Love of Sugar in Lakewood, Calif who makes amazing cakes! We splurged with the cost of this cake, but it was worth it, the cake turned out fabulous! The baker's name is Sarah, here is her website http://www.fortheloveofsugar.com/

Malibu wedding
This was the farthest wedding that I traveled to. It was literally on top of the mountains, the Malibu hills, the views were spectacular. The majority of the flowers consisted of mango and white calla lilies, including the brides bouquet. The bridesmaids carried orange dahlias which I love. Another beautiful wedding!
